Planner
A weekly calendar view for scheduling tasks by dragging them onto days. Access it from the sidebar under Planner.
How it works
The planner shows a 7-day week grid with an unscheduled sidebar on the right. Tasks with deadlines appear on the corresponding day; tasks without deadlines appear in the unscheduled column.
Drag a task from the unscheduled column onto a day to plan a one-hour work session for it, at 9:00 in the list view or at the time you drop it on the timeline. Changes save automatically.
Dragging a task that has a deadline but no work session moves its deadline, keeping the time. Dragging a card back to the unscheduled column removes that work session, or clears the deadline if there is no session.
Scheduling one task across several days
A task can occupy more than one day, with a different time range on each. Use it when a piece of work is spread out - for example 9:00–11:00 on Monday and 14:00–14:30 on Wednesday.
Hover a card in the list or timeline view and click the + button (“Create another work session for this task”). That adds a session on the next day at the same time; drag it from there to wherever you actually want it.
Each block is independent. Dragging or resizing one changes only that day - the task's other days stay exactly where they are.
Things worth knowing
- The deadline follows the last block. Add a block that ends after the deadline and the deadline moves out to meet it; move the last block earlier and the deadline comes back in, unless you set that deadline by hand, which is never pulled back.
- Removing a block does not delete the task. It only removes that one appearance. The other days, and the task itself, are untouched.
- Removing the last block leaves the deadline alone. A deadline you set deliberately is not erased just because you cleared your plan for it.
- Today shows that day's hours, not the deadline. A task scheduled for today but due Friday appears in Today at today's time range, with aNdbadge showing how many days it spans.
- A deadline without blocks shows as a one-hour marker. Resize it, or use + on it, and it becomes a real work session.
- This is separate from “planned for today”. Pinning a task to Today is a date-only marker with no time range; scheduled blocks carry real start and end times.
