Teams
Collaborate on projects with your team. Available on the Pro and Max plans. Access from the sidebar under Teams.
How Teams Work
Create a team, invite members by email, and link projects to the team. All active team members automatically get access to linked projects.
Invitations are sent via email with a unique link. Recipients must have a Karea account to accept - they'll be prompted to sign up if they don't.
Team Roles
Manager
Full control: invite/remove members, link/unlink projects, manage team settings
Participant
Can create, edit, and close tasks in linked projects
Commenter
Can view tasks and add notes, but cannot edit tasks
Viewer
Read-only access to linked projects
Managing Access
When you link a project to a team, all active members get access based on their team role: Managers and Participants become editors, Commenters become commenters, and Viewers become viewers. Removing a member revokes their team-granted access to all linked projects.
Individual project invitations (not through a team) are unaffected by team membership changes, and are never downgraded by a team role.
